It doesn't necessarily have to be your CD player, but what album are you listening to right now? I thought it'd be a good way to check out new bands that other people are listening to and see what other peoples' tastes are, so here we go.

Rock Star Supernova - Surprisingly good, even though I couldn't stand Lucas when the competition was on TV, the cd is catchy.

Not many new albums come out towards the end of the year, so I usually use that time to listen to albums I really like a year or so ago. So the three albums I've listened to extensively in the last week are:

Band of Horses- "Everything All the Time"

The Fiery Furnaces- "Bitter Tea"

Beirut- "Gulag Orkestar"

I enjoy "Everything All The Time," but I haven't heard the other two of those albums. Might have to give them a shot.

I got both of them for X-Mas and so far am pleased with both.

My wife's cousin is in a band called Watershed and on their website one of the other members ranks every Cheap Trick song from 1 to 157. Check it out-

And if you're a fan of the power pop Watershed it hitting the road in January and will be at Points East in Milwaukee on the 4th and at Beat Kitchen in Chicago on the 5th (just in case you're interested Homer).
