What's in your CD player?

jordanmuehl

It doesn't necessarily have to be your CD player, but what album are you listening to right now? I thought it'd be a good way to check out new bands that other people are listening to and see what other peoples' tastes are, so here we go.

Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova - The Swell Season

Very good album to accompany a very good film.

Not many new albums come out towards the end of the year, so I usually use that time to listen to albums I really like a year or so ago. So the three albums I've listened to extensively in the last week are:

Band of Horses- "Everything All the Time"

The Fiery Furnaces- "Bitter Tea"

Beirut- "Gulag Orkestar"

Today at work:

Radiohead - "OK Computer"

Radiohead - "In Rainbows" (FLAC rip of discbox that fits nicely on one CD)

Radiohead - "The Golden Unplugged Album"

Ryan Adams - "Easy Tiger"

Ryan Adams - "Follow the Lights EP"

The National - "Boxer"

And in the car, lots and lots of Josh Ritter and the Avett Brothers lately.

Listening to Cheap Trick's "In Color" right now on iTunes.

absolutely classic!

In Color and their first release get a lot of airplay from me to this very day, very underated band in my opinion.

My wife's cousin is in a band called Watershed and on their website one of the other members ranks every Cheap Trick song from 1 to 157. Check it out-

My Obsession: Ranking the Songs of Cheap Trick

And if you're a fan of the power pop Watershed it hitting the road in January and will be at Points East in Milwaukee on the 4th and at Beat Kitchen in Chicago on the 5th (just in case you're interested Homer).
